Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Gore, New Zealand

Type of Work: Full- Time

Hours: Minimum 30 hours guaranteed per week (typically 40 hours per week)

Pay: 100K ~ 125K per year

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, testing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across industrial and/or commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission electrical equipment, wiring, and control systems

   

   

• Diagnose faults using electrical and electronic testing instruments

   

   

• Repair or replace faulty wiring, components, and equipment

   

   

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications

   

   

• Ensure all installations comply with relevant safety standards and regulations

   

   

• Maintain and service electrical systems and equipment

   

   

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

• NZQF Level 4 qualification in Electrical Trades or at least three years of relevant work experience

   

   

• Current Electrical Registration and Practising Licence are required (EWRB or equivalent)

   

   

• Demonstrated experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and fault finding

   

   

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

   

   

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

   

   

• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team

   

   

• Strong communication and organisational skills

   

   

• Committed to maintaining high-quality workmanship
