12-Month Fixed Term | Starting Early November 2026

Mataura Valley Milk is looking for a Process Operator to join our Process Operations Team in Gore on a 12-month fixed-term contract, commencing early November 2026.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of our milk powder operation. You’ll help safely and efficiently operate our processing plant across milk reception and treatment, wet mix, evaporation and drying, while ensuring we consistently meet our quality, food safety and production standards.

What you’ll be doing:

• Operating and monitoring milk powder processing equipment
• Working across different areas of the processing plant
• Monitoring process controls and making operational adjustments
• Maintaining high food safety, HACCP, quality and safety standards
• Troubleshooting issues and supporting continuous improvement
• Completing accurate production records, sampling and checks

What we’re looking for:

Experience in food manufacturing, ideally dairy

• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Strong safety and quality focus
• Good communication, numeracy and computer skills
• Someone who works well under pressure and is a great team player
